How to get from the airport to the city centre?

Los Angeles:

Downtown LA is around 30km from the LAX airport and the easiest and cheapest way to get there is with a free shuttle bus. Once you leave arrivals you should take either Shuttle G or C. If you choose shuttle C then you’ll get taken to the Metro bus centre and then from there you can carry on to Downtown LA, Santa Monica or Hollywood. Taxis are another option but they will cost more and you’ll need to leave a tip. Most of the nightlife and activities tend to take place outside of Downtown LA though so once you’ve booked your flights to the USA it’s worth checking which hotels are around Hollywood and Santa Monica first.

Atlanta:

Once you’ve booked your flights to the USA it is worth seeing which hotels provide airport transfers. If any do and you like the hotel then that’ll save you effort and time after your long flights to the USA. You can also jump onto the MARTA train from inside the airport and take that to the city. It’ll be cheaper than a taxi but if you do decide you want a taxi you can find them outside the airport. Make sure you leave a tip if you get a taxi.

Miami:

The airport is only 13km away from downtown Miami so it isn’t too difficult to get transport. There is a free, fixed-rail system which provides transport to the most popular destinations in Miami. For $2 you could instead get the bus which is another option a lot of people take. It stops along the way at many popular destinations before finishing downtown. You could also jump in a taxi for around $10-$15 but with the rail system this doesn’t seem necessary.

Las Vegas:

The easiest way to get to the strip is to take a taxi from outside of the airport. You’ll see people getting in them one after another, with one guy normally orchestrating the people waiting and directing them into suitable taxis. It’ll normally take 30 minutes depending on traffic but make sure to tell your driver to exit the airport via Swenson, otherwise he might take the longer journey across the highway.
